Seconect is a lightweight but strong and resistant composite material. The VarioLine composite is based on polypropylene. A panel is ten millimeters thick. The material is scratch and abrasion resistant. It also has a high impact strength and energy absorption. Furthermore Seconect is waterproof and resistant against many acids and bases, even in places where the panel is milled or drilled. This should prevent delamination and rot. The material has a low flammability and is free of emissions. Seconect is also UV-resistant. According to the producer the material can without any problem be recycled. Seconect has been developed as a lightweight floor for vehicles.
